Is Arizona State or Georgetown better for an undergraduate business degree?

Georgetown is the stronger undergraduate business option overall.

One major difference is brand and recruiting reach. Georgetown tends to open more doors with employers that hire selectively for high-paying business roles. When a school’s name travels well across regions and industries, that matters a lot for a first job and for later opportunities.

Location is another real advantage. Being in DC means students can intern part time during the semester with consulting firms, federal agencies, nonprofits, startups, and major corporations. That kind of access can make your resume much stronger before senior year.

ASU is still a very solid business school. It has strong scale, lots of resources, a broad range of majors, and a large alumni base, and it can be an excellent value option, particularly for students interested in entrepreneurship or staying in the Southwest. The environment is also bigger and less intense in vibe than Georgetown.

The biggest reason many students still pick ASU is cost. If ASU is dramatically cheaper, that can outweigh Georgetown’s edge, especially for undergraduate business where debt can limit postgrad flexibility. But on pure undergraduate business reputation, recruiting strength, and access to elite internship pipelines, Georgetown comes out ahead.
