Cal State LA vs UC Davis for a chemistry major: which is better for undergrad chemistry?

I’m deciding between Cal State LA and UC Davis and I want to major in chemistry. I’m trying to figure out which school is generally the better fit for an undergraduate chemistry student in terms of academics, research opportunities, and support for getting into a good career or grad school later.

I know both are solid schools, but I’m not sure how they compare specifically for chemistry majors.
