Boston College or Tufts for business?

Boston College is the clearer choice for business. The biggest reason is that BC has the Carroll School of Management, which gives you a true undergraduate business program with structured coursework in finance, accounting, marketing, management, and related fields from the start. Tufts does not have an undergraduate business school, so a student who wants a business-centered academic path usually gets much more direct access at BC.

Career support also tends to line up more naturally with your interests at BC because the student clubs, alumni network, and internship culture are built around business fields in a very visible way. At Tufts, the support is solid, but it is broader and more diffuse since the university is more centered on liberal arts, engineering, and international or interdisciplinary study than on undergraduate business training.

The reputation question follows that same pattern. In business circles, BC usually carries more immediate recognition because of Carroll and its alumni presence in core business sectors. Tufts has a strong overall academic name, but for someone specifically seeking business-focused classes, recruiting, and career preparation, BC is the more straightforward and better-aligned option.
