At Chapman, students are in Old Towne Orange, so restaurants, cafes, and off-campus hangouts are right next to campus. Pepperdine has a beautiful Malibu setting, but it is more isolated, and social life often depends on having a car or making plans in advance.

One big difference is the weekend rhythm. Chapman often has more happening nearby on a casual Friday or Saturday night because students can walk into town, see friends, grab food, or attend campus events without much coordination. Pepperdine weekends can feel slower on campus, partly because the campus is farther from everyday off-campus activity and partly because some students leave to go home or head into LA if they have transportation.
