In real-life outcomes, that does not mean Boston College is poorly regarded, but if the question is purely name recognition and institutional status, Cornell is ahead.

One clear differentiator is visibility. Cornell’s brand is recognized widely across the country and internationally, not just in the Northeast, and that matters when people are making quick judgments from a resume or transcript.
