Georgetown usually has the edge on value for money for undergrad if the net cost is truly similar. Its name carries especially strong weight in fields like politics, international affairs, policy, consulting, and finance, and its Washington, DC location creates unusually direct access to internships during the school year. For many students, that combination translates into stronger day-to-day career access, not just abstract prestige.

One concrete differentiator is location. Georgetown students can intern on Capitol Hill, at think tanks, embassies, nonprofits, media outlets, and major employers while classes are in session, which matters a lot because those experiences often lead to later internships and jobs. Wake Forest has a loyal alumni network and solid outcomes, but Winston-Salem does not offer the same concentration of nationally prominent undergraduate-semester opportunities.
