Being in LA matters day to day: students can more realistically commute to part-time internships during the quarter, attend industry events, and connect with alumni across entertainment, tech, consulting, healthcare, and public service. UCLA also tends to attract a very broad range of recruiters for campus events because of its visibility and size.

Location is the clearest differentiator. Westwood places students near major employment hubs like Santa Monica, Century City, Beverly Hills, and other parts of LA where many firms, startups, hospitals, nonprofits, and media organizations operate.
