How does Boston University admissions difficulty compare to UChicago for undergraduate applicants?

UChicago is meaningfully harder to get into than Boston University for undergraduate applicants. Both attract strong students, but UChicago sits in a more selective tier overall, with a smaller class, a more academic-intellectual brand, and an applicant pool that is especially self-selecting. Boston University is still quite competitive, but it is not viewed as difficult to enter as UChicago.
