MIT vs Columbia for computer science: which is better for undergrad CS?
I’m a high school junior trying to narrow down my college list, and I keep seeing MIT and Columbia come up for computer science. Both seem strong, but I’m not sure how they compare for an undergrad who wants a solid CS education and good opportunities.

The biggest practical tradeoff is CS-first intensity at MIT versus a broader Ivy-style undergraduate experience at Columbia. MIT is built around engineering and computing, so computer science is central to the school’s culture, course offerings, and student projects.
