What is campus life like at Tufts vs Middlebury?

Middlebury will feel more immersive and campus-centered day to day, while Tufts tends to feel more outward-facing and loosely connected to the Boston area. At Middlebury, most students live, socialize, and spend free time within a small residential community in a rural Vermont setting, so the campus itself drives the social calendar. At Tufts, student life is active too, but it is spread across Medford/Somerville and shaped by easy access to Boston, which makes the rhythm of campus feel less contained.

The biggest difference is where social energy goes at night and on weekends.
