The difference is less about whether one school can place into finance at all and more about where and how. Vanderbilt usually gives you a wider traditional finance network across regions. If your main priority is the strongest conventional undergraduate route into finance recruiting, Vanderbilt has the edge. If you want finance with strong Houston access and a more STEM-oriented campus that can open adjacent paths as well, Rice is a compelling option.
