What is the campus culture difference between UConn and Wesleyan?

Wesleyan and UConn feel very different day to day: Wesleyan is more intimate, artsy, and openly intellectual, while UConn is bigger, more spirited, and more traditional in the social energy of campus life. At Wesleyan, students often describe the culture as quirky, politically engaged, creative, and discussion-heavy, with a lot of identity tied to student-run arts, activism, and close-knit communities.
