How does social life compare at Indiana University vs the University of Wisconsin-Madison?

Indiana University tends to feel more overtly social from day one, while Wisconsin-Madison usually comes across as a little more balanced between a lively social scene and a strong everyday campus community. At IU, Greek life is more visible and can shape weekend culture in a noticeable way, especially early in college.
