Amherst vs UChicago: which is considered more prestigious for college and grad school outcomes?

In most academic and professional circles, both Amherst and UChicago are considered top-tier and highly prestigious, but UChicago usually has broader national and international name recognition, especially for research, economics, math, and graduate-school-oriented fields. Amherst is also extremely prestigious, particularly within academia, law, PhD placement, and elite liberal arts circles, and it often punches above its size in outcomes.
