Yale also has strong research and advising through Yale School of Medicine and New Haven hospitals, but Rice is often seen as the more structured and accessible path for pre-meds day to day.

If your top priorities are clinical access and a campus culture where pre-med is very common, Rice has an edge. Rice is also known for a collaborative student culture, which many pre-meds find helpful in tough science sequences.

Yale is excellent for pre-med too, especially if you want maximum academic flexibility and very strong prestige across fields.
