What research opportunities are available for undergraduates at Stony Brook University?

Stony Brook has a lot of real undergraduate research access, and undergrads can get involved fairly early, including in their first or second year. The university is a major public research institution. Research is especially visible in biology, neuroscience, chemistry, physics, computer science, psychology, health fields, and marine and environmental sciences through the School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences.
