It is not usually viewed as a national powerhouse in CS, but it does offer real technical training and a credible path to internships and jobs. The best fit is for students who are comfortable being proactive about networking and opportunities rather than expecting a huge on-campus tech recruiting scene.

At UH Mānoa, the computer science program is housed in the Department of Information and Computer Sciences, and the BS pathway has a strong enough structure to cover core areas like programming, algorithms, software design, and systems.
