What does the University of Hawaii admitted student checklist usually include?

I was recently admitted and saw a checklist in the portal, but I’m not totally sure what each item is for. I want to make sure I understand the usual things students are expected to complete after admission.

I’m trying to figure out what the checklist typically includes so I can stay organized and not miss anything important.

The University of Hawaiʻi admitted student checklist usually includes confirming your intent to enroll, activating your student accounts, and sending any final official transcripts. It also commonly includes residency verification, financial aid steps, and health or immunization requirements before registration or move-in. The exact wording can vary by campus, but those are the standard post-admission items most students see.

For UH Mānoa in particular, students are often asked to accept admission in the portal, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid follow-up items if applicable, and satisfy health clearance requirements through the student health system. Many admitted students also see placement-related tasks, such as math or English placement, depending on prior coursework and test scores.

A typical checklist may also include setting up your UH username and email, checking for any holds, and signing up for orientation. Orientation is important because it often unlocks advising and course registration. Housing applications, if you plan to live on campus, are usually separate but may appear alongside the admitted student tasks in the portal.

You may also see requests for official AP, IB, dual enrollment, or transfer transcripts so the university can award credit correctly. International students often have extra checklist items, such as visa documentation and proof of finances. If any item in the portal is marked incomplete, that usually means the university still needs a form, document, or confirmation before you can move to the next step.
