What matters most for admission to Cal State Fullerton as a business major?
I’m a high school junior trying to plan my senior year and I’m interested in applying to Cal State Fullerton for business. I know CSU admissions are mostly based on academics, but I’m not sure what parts of my record matter most for a business major.
I want to focus on the right classes and activities without wasting time on things that won’t help much for this application.

For Cal State Fullerton as a business applicant, the biggest factors are your CSU GPA in the A-G college-prep courses and whether you complete the required A-G pattern. CSUs do not use personal essays or letters of recommendation in the normal admission process, and test scores are not used for admission. That means your transcript matters far more than extracurriculars for this application.
For business, it helps most to take a solid senior schedule with strong grades, especially in math and other core academic classes. Since business is often a popular major, stronger grades can matter even more than they would for a less impacted program. If available at your school, courses like statistics, calculus, economics, accounting, or business-related electives can support your preparation, but the priority is still doing well in rigorous A-G classes.
Activities are not usually a major admissions factor for CSU campuses in the way they are at many private universities or some UCs. They are still worth doing for your own growth and can matter for scholarships, leadership development, or future internships, but they usually will not drive the admission decision itself. So the best use of your time is to protect your GPA, complete all A-G requirements with no gaps, and take the strongest math and college-prep courses you can handle successfully.
