Hi, I'm Camille! I graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. (Honors) in Urban Studies and have worked 1-1 with dozens of students on the college application process for the past 6 years. At Stanford I minored in Creative Writing, where I routinely participated in writing workshops -- reading my classmates short stories and pieces, providing line-by-line feedback, and writing out "feedback letters" where I explained in detail what was and was not working. I was also a Writing Tutor at the Stanford Hume Writing Center, where I did the same kind of writing feedback but for academic essays.

I also specialize in helping students whose first language is *not* English, having tutored students from across the globe in writing specifically.

College applications can be incredibly challenging. I'm here to help. I'm excited to work with you on your essays and overall application!

When giving feedback for your essays, I'll focus on the quality of your line-by-line prose and creativity, but also provide feedback on the overarching structure and narrative, and whether it's actually answering the prompt or conveying the message/takeaway that you want to convey. My feedback is a combination of clarification questions about your emotions and experiences, structural analysis of how your essay is flowing and how it ought to flow, and suggestions to ensure that your essay is not only effective and clear, but also creative, compelling, and enticing to readers. I also do advising sessions, where we talk through these revisions real-time and really dive deep into your experiences and feelings -- so we can really bring those out creatively in your essays.
