How I work
I strongly believe in relationship building and want to get to know who you are as a person, as well as your unique creative writing voice. In the age of AI-generated writing, it is so important to develop a voice that is true to yourself, that holds character and specificity, and that allows you to stick out! I also believe in a holistic strategy — essay topics should be strategic and not random, and follow a cohesive application narrative.

Camille gave me the best advice on my admissions essay. She fixed all my grammar mistakes, reworded sentences to make them flow better, and included multiple notes on how I could make the essay stronger. I had a very low character count and she aided a lot in letting me know what was and was not important, and that even adding a couple of sentences to a specific paragraph would make the essay much stronger. I’ll definitely continue submitting my essays to Camille.

I cannot stress enough how helpful Camille was with my personal statement! I was having a hard time creating a compelling narrative within a tight character count, but Camille’s creative direction made the process so much easier. They took the time to truly understand my background in order to help me weave my experiences into a cohesive and authentic story. Whenever I felt lost during the editing process, Camille was very reassuring and willing to brainstorm different ideas that brought out my unique experiences. I also struggled a lot with concision and clarity, but Camille’s detailed feedback showed me how to restructure my sentences and articulate my ideas more thoroughly. I’m so glad I chose Camille as an advisor — they were truly the best!!!

Camille’s feedback was such a gift! They helped me go from feeling nervous about my personal statement to feeling proud. Camille was particularly helpful in improving my essay’s narrative structure, logical clarity, as well as beauty and flow of the prose. Their creative writing background shone through; they encouraged me to not only make a compelling argument but to also tell a compelling story. Camille gave both high-level feedback, focused on the overarching narrative and argumentative structure, and fine-grain feedback, that refined logical arguments and narrative transitions. They were both exacting (they caught all the parts I thought might be weak) but also uplifting (they praised many of the parts I felt proudest of or took the biggest risks on). Not only is my essay obviously stronger, but I’ve walked away feeling like a better writer. 5/5, I highly recommend!
