I graduated from Pomona College cum laude with a major in economics and minor in politics in 2020. I've coached high school students formally and informally over the past five years, helping them gain admission to some of the most prestigious research universities and liberal arts colleges in the U.S. I'm focused on helping students with the most important part of the admissions process: the essays. I ensure that my students avoid falling into common essay-writing traps and instead tell a compelling story that dramatically increases their chances of admission.

My writing and editing journey started in high school, when a local newspaper offered me an internship, and then a full-time job, as a reporter. I also wrote for my college newspaper. I was a teaching assistant for six semesters in college, where I helped students write academic papers that were clear, creative, and concise. After graduating college, I worked for a communications consulting firm, working with clients to distill complex ideas into memorable stories. I now work as a lead analyst at a major financial services company, where writing and editing make up the majority of my job responsibilities.

Please note that I specialize in essay reviews and do not offer live sessions. When I receive an essay for review, I give students extensive comments and revisions focused on four elements: content, structure, style, and syntax.
