About
I’m a seasoned college consultant and essay editor with six years of experience guiding students from various backgrounds through the entire college application process. I graduated with high honors from the University of Pennsylvania, earning a degree in Creative Nonfiction Writing and Women’s Studies. Having lived and breathed story structure throughout my career, I’ve honed my expertise in personal narratives by helping hundreds of applicants craft standout essays in the competitive admissions landscape.

In addition to one-on-one consulting, I have designed and taught college essay writing curricula, empowering students with the skills and confidence to tell their stories effectively. I’ve mentored thousands of applicants through livestreams and worked as a full-time Video Producer, traveling to college campuses to create guidance content that has reached millions.

Beyond college consulting, I’m a singer-songwriter who channels my passion for storytelling into music. I have also worked as a freelance music writer, interviewer, and content creator.

How I work
My core values: Purpose | Humor | Integrity | Creativity | Curiosity

My approach is entirely tailored to you and depends on where you are in the application process! If you're at the beginning, we may start by discussing your application holistically—covering grades, test scores, extracurriculars, essays, and academic goals. From there, we'll create a schedule, strategize a cohesive narrative for your application, build a balanced school list, and begin brainstorming your personal statement. Alternatively, our work together might focus solely on essays, which could involve anything from brainstorming, outlining, and revising your personal statement and supplements.

I view the college essay as a rite of passage, an opportunity for students to shape their own narrative. My editing approach is collaborative; I aim to preserve the student's voice while offering detailed, actionable feedback. When editing, I provide everything from line edits to candid reactions that mirror how admissions officers might receive your essay, along with in-depth suggestions for restructuring. I explain my rationale behind each suggestion so you can understand my thought process.

Admissions officers typically read hundreds of essays in a single pass, and I’m dedicated to making yours memorable.
