Emily graduated summa cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2021 with a degree in Communications and Music with a minor in Advertising & Public Relations. With courses in screenwriting, sketch comedy writing, media production, advertising, and more, Emily spent the majority of her time in school focusing on storytelling. Using that skillset in the college application sphere, Emily has been mentoring students for 5+ years. She began as an Admissions Ambassador at UNC, where she regularly advised students on every part of the college process-- whether it be how to choose essay topics, choose a major, or craft an overall application. Emily also interned with UNC's office of Undergraduate Admissions, where she handled correspondence with prospective students and worked to share UNC's mission and goals via social media, giving her a unique insider perspective in the advising space. After graduating, Emily started editing essays for students around the world and continues to use her writing experience to help make sure their personality and experience shines through on the page. Emily is based in Los Angeles, where she works at an entertainment marketing agency and plays french horn in a local LA orchestra. In her free time, Emily enjoys all things puzzles, trivia, and escape rooms, and has even written games for NPR's Ask Me Another.
